To retake, or not to retake?

I took the SAT and I scored a 2220 (750m, 740r, 730w). I also took the ACT and my composite was 35. I’m wondering whether I should even bother retaking the SAT? I’m thinking of applying to MIT, Cornell, Berkeley, and maybe Caltech.

My other stats are good:
SAT IIs:
-Math IIC: 800
-Chem: 800
-US History: 760
GPA: 3.975 uw, 4.2w
8 APs w/ lowest score being a 4 and all honors classes
I’ve got lots of ECs and volunteer hours, etc.

So, should I retake the SAT or not?

NO.... spend your..... 4 almost 5 hours of a saturday morning doing something more relaxing

definetly not

Please tell me your joking.

This is from the USNRW listing for Caltech - so its a couple of years old:

First-year students submitting SAT scores: 100%
SAT I scores (25/75 percentile):
Verbal: 700 – 780
Math: 760 – 800
Combined: 1460 – 1580

You're probably ok everywhere but Caltech. If you do decide to retake the miserable test, first send your existing scores to all the schools on your list. When you sign up for the retake, elect to sent the scores to no schools. When you get your scores, only send them if your math score goes up.

...
You have to be kidding. No, you don't need to retake anything. Leave your scores alone. They're amazing. And yes, you're fine for Caltech.

You ACT scores are awesome so you are in great shape You are pretty much in great shape
