To Send or Not to Send?

Hello all! :) So I'm in the midst of a storm of college applications, and as I'm applying, I have a few questions as to the info I should send in.

First off, I took the SAT three times. First time I got a 2020, second a 2010, and third a 2220. Obviously my third score is my best score, and it also contains my highest scores for each of the three sections. Are the other scores worth sending in at all? Does it make a difference to colleges whether they see them or not? (Also, does score choice cost extra?)

Second, I also took the ACT. I scored a 32. (E 32, M 32, R 31, S 31) Is this score worth submitting given that I already have an SAT score of 2220?

Third, for extracurriculars, I did two years of JV Tennis, but I ended up quitting because of an injury. Is this worth including in the application? I feel as though since it was only Junior Varsity, it belittles the accomplishment slightly, even though my school has an extremely competitive girls tennis team. On one hand, I think it shows that I'm well-rounded, active, etc. but on the other hand, I feel like the fact that I only played for two years then quit makes it look like I'm non-committal and undedicated, even though it was due to injury.

Thanks so much for any help!

I would recommend sending your ACT as well as your SAT.

You’re aware that a small number of colleges and universities–mostly highly selective ones–require you to send results from all test dates, right?

Assuming you’re not talking about any of those, I think you should send the 2220 and the 32. Each one validates the other.

You ACT is lower than your SAT if you look at a conversion table. No reason to send it in - it just incurs extra cost and is one more document you are trying to track for receipt. Also, the schools tell you if you have to report all your testing or just your best score - check their admissions instructions. If they give you the option of sending only your last score, do that. Why show them weaker scores? It only makes it look like your 2220 was an exception rather than the norm for you.

And yes, you should mention your tennis. It’s just one line on the EC list. It shows that you were engaged in something outside of school during that time.
