Let's say you have a test tomorrow, and you've been preparing a bit for the past few days. You know the material pretty well, but there's definitely room for improvement. Should you just go to bed and get plenty of sleep, cram every bit of info into your head for the remainder of the night, or study a few hours and get at least 3-4 hours of sleep? For me, I'm always more tired when I get 3 hours of sleep as opposed to no sleep at all. But I haven't noticed any downsides to cramming other than just being sleepy. Does cramming into the night really make you forget all the info?

if u get tired if u sleep too much than u should cram everything in

I don't really buy into all of that more sleep = better grades for tests that rely on memorization. So, I would skip the sleep.

yea, do like a lot of cramming, and get 3-4 hours

I would skip the sleep, and I am a person who needs a lot of sleep to survive. Cramming always works best for me, and that way I can't say I did bad on something because I didn't study enough the night before.

Your long term memory is much more efficient with sleep. That being said, I never slept well before big tests but I think it's because the high school I went to was a joke.

I would cram for a while, but at least get 3-4 hours. Yeah, you still feel tired, but at least you aren't falling asleep during the test.

Don't ever pull an all-nighter... it messes up with your sleep schedule for the entire week. Plus, you'll feel like you're hungover. It's awful.

I do all-nighters all the time (usually on Sunday nights) and trust me, you won't be doing much studying lol. You'll just be focusing on ways to stay awake and the reading can lead to sleepiness. I suggest getting a drink with a lot of caffeine though and drinking a can/bottle of it every couple of hours if you're doing it to study.

Actually i pull all nighters all the time. it has DEFINITELY effed up my sleep schedule (my body is so used to it that i can only go to bed at 4 A.M. and wake up at 12-1 p.m.). My school is pretty rigorous though so that is probably why (Teachers give alot of BS homework that is useless but impacts our grade).

Cramajamalam

Cram for 3-4 hours. Except I couldn't study for that long, so more like goof-off/cram/goof-off for 3-4 hours. Then sleep. I've been trying like heck, but I seem to be almost incapable of pulling an all-nighter - I never make it past 3 am. I managed to stay up all night ONCE, and never again afterwards.

Cram. You can always sleep later. But you can't cram later.

if youre tired you dont remember things as well. do both, take a nap for a few hours and study a little when you wake up. or just dont cram and actually know what youre talking about in the first place

I've never been tired from 'sleeping too much'. Then again, most tests I've already been learning the material at a decent pace throughout the past few weeks...
