To superscore or to not superscore? That is the question...

I am a junior and I have taken the SAT twice and the ACT twice.

I got a 32 on the ACT the first time and a 35 the second time, so obviously I will be sending the latter.

On the first SAT I got a 2250; CR 740, M 710, W 800, Essay 12. I took it again because I wanted to raise my math score.

On the second SAT i got a 2230; CR 680, M 760, W 790, Essay 12.

So here is the question, and I welcome all opinions, so speak the truth: Should I send in both scores to superscore to a 2300, or should I just send in the first SAT score?

Obviously if I apply to MIT, I will use the second score, but I did get a 36 on the math section of the ACT; does that help? What about to liberal arts colleges? Again, do schools really superscore, or would they see the 680 and not consider the 740?

Again, any opinions and thoughts are greatly appreciated.

Does anyone have any opinions?

Send everything. They will be happy to see that you improved your math score and the others were rather consistent.
They’ll understand.

Anyone else?

I second waitingforcal. They will not think less of you because you did slightly worse in CR the second time. They will just see the 740 CR, 760 M, 800 W. Send it all.

Yea, send it all.
I’m in a similar situation. I took the SAT twice, and got 2260, 2270.
I think that if your scores are really close, then you should just send both. The superscore won’t have a big impact on your admissions anyways.

Does it help to send in both ACT and SAT when you’re in OP’s situation?
