To Tell or not To Tell

So I was told during a UC Application Workshop that I must include all AP Test scores no matter the score or how old they are. I graduated in 2005 and am applying as a transfer applicant, however at the time of completing my application I was sure I had received a 2 on two AP exams and once I found out how to call and make sure what my scores were, I found out I got 1's.
I am worried now that UC admissions will feel that I lied on my application even if the scores were low. I want to show them that I want to be as honest as possible.
I have read many threads in this forum in which other students mention that ap tests below 3's will not even need official scores because they never earned the student credit.

My question is whether I should send in the letter to the uc undergraduate application processing service and tell them about the score mixup or whether I should just not send in anything since official transcripts for the ap tests will not be needed. I wonder if the UC's will find out anyway and deny me admission if i dont say anything about it or if I'm just making a big deal out of nothing.
However I also dont want to call any negative attention to myself by admitting I was wrong. Please help me, this is bothering me immensely and I would appreciate any input or advice. Thanks

I would write them a letter explaining it. It's a lot harder proving innocence after they rescind an offer than beforehand. If I were in your shoes, I would not want this kind of issue hanging over my head for the next few months.

I never heard that. I dont think transfers need to provide AP scores. Your not doing anything wrong if you dont report them. You certainly wont get denied because of it.

My friend had a terrible HS records, including AP scores. I don't think it should matter considering that you are getting no credit for an ap exam that isn't passing.

i dont think it will factor in much, but it's always best to report everything ahead of time or at least when you have gained admittance so there are no problems or misunderstandings later

Honesty is always the best policy. I do not think that they will hold low AP test scores from HS against a college level transfer student. It is better to clear this issue up with admissions.

yeah they don't care at all. i got a 1 on my AP Chem test and reported it, and still got in to ucb.

In that case if you took the SAT do you have to report it as well?

no, SATs are not required for transfers... and IT IS NOT MANDATORY FOR APPLICANTS TO POST THEIR AP SCORES
