how many guys here actually take care of themselves? i mean like make sure their skin is clean, nails don't have dirt in them, they don't smell and just walk out with deodorant on, actually try to look nice when going out?

you know, all that?

i personally find guys that do that attractive lol, some people call guys that do things like that metrosexual, but there's nothing wrong with stepping up your appearance a little bit

I think taking care of oneself has become a standard for guys. I can't imagine most high school aged guys leaving home without at least looking into a mirror. I wash my face, dress well, and smell good, but I'm not "metrosexual," Just not a dog : )

I dont even find this embarrassing as you put it. Why would i "dare" to confess that im a clean person? Of course I put on deodorant, take a shower, etc. I think the majority of women in the world will find clean guys attractive.

but you'd be surprised, some guys at my school walk in with the undershirt they woke up wearing in the morning, a drool stain on their collar, a ketchup stain on the back. a black hat whose fabric is wearing out flipped to the side, and faded long shorts that goes down to their knees.

i know only one guy that really goes out of his way to take care of himself in my school..but some think he's bi or gay >>

hopefully it IS a standard for guys now though

^ i don't just mean clean, but actually spending time to, in a sense, "refine" some parts. like cleaning your nails, evening them out, all that little refining stuff

Johnson181, was that last message the online equivalent of pulling pigtails on the playground?

Just kidding haha

Back to the topic: I don't necessarily take out the time to trim my nails so that they're perfect or anything, but if I notice that they're way too long then I'll trim them (I don't usually have to though because I have the bad habit of biting my nails). I shower obsessively, but that's mainly because showers are good stress relievers. I also shave every morning?

Maybe I'm just weird, but during the school year I take around 3 short showers a day. I guess it makes sense as a stress reliever--everything you do while showering is thoughtless and intuitive. You can go on autopilot and just forget about everything for 10-20 minutes, haha. Plus, you're doing something productive so it's not like you're wasting time outright.
