To all those accepted to Berkeley, can you guys post your stats? Thanks!

Accepted Mech Eng

GPA 4.15
SAT 2250
..........Actually now that I'm done and in college, I cant talk about things like stats, reminds me of college applications.

Yea, I doubt you'll get many people doing this. It doesn't really matter anymore.

^Why do you say it doesn't matter anymore? :/

Because it doesnt matter to now to people who are in college. Once your in college you kind of want to forget about SATs, college apps, high school grades because you realize how pointless they were. I know it seems important when your applying, but once you get into college and adjust to college life those kind of things seem pointless in regards to college classes and career planning. The time to ask that information is right after people find admissions decisions because they are still in that college app mode, after they start college they dont care.

Exactly. There's really no point in retaing that knowledge, unless you want to brag about it. We now have to focus on college work and what not.

Thank you for explaining tivesrx. :)

Alright let's leave my thread die away. thread closed

Just search for the class of 2010 decisions thread.

GPA: 3.67
SAT 1590
SAT Math IIC: 800
SAT French: 800
SAT Writing: 800
8 5's on AP tests
No community service
Terrible recommendations from two English teachers, one of whom hated me - although any science/math, as was expressly suggested, would have been even worse. (Did Berkeley app even use recommendations? I know I sent them somewhere)
Short essays I conceived and wrote within the hour of submission and didn't proofread, but I think were pretty good.

Now as a senior, my GPA at Berkeley is exactly 3.67, so I suppose it was a pretty good predictor.

Oh yah, I got in as an alumni scholar.

me too....

For Regents and Chancellors Scholarship, where can I get info about them? What kind of applicant is eligible?

I think all applicants are eligible. They pick a few that they think are the best using their UC applications.

I'm sure googling it will give you more information.

I would like information on the scholarships too.

cherokeejew: was that your weighted GPA and actualy SAT score? if it is, that probably gives me some hope to get in because I'm around there. but damn ur SAT II's were fantastic, same with your AP's
