To those accepted--do you plan on attending?!

I'm so excited about my acceptance! Congratulations to everyone else =]
I have no idea where I'm going to school until I get the rest of my decisions in April though.
I'm still waiting to hear from Duke (deferred ED), Michigan (deferred EA), Cornell, Penn, Tufts, Wash U, Emory, Vanderbilt, Northwestern, Boston College, and Georgetown
What about you guys? Are you attending, or are you considering other schools?

Is in the top 3 for my son. Boston College is his first choice ( already accepted) He has also been accepted to Notre Dame, Villanova, Fordham and University of Pittsburghs Honors College. Still waiting to hear from Duke, U Penn and Georgetown. He wants to go and see UNC again, loved it when we visited. Money will also come into play…UNC is about $15,000 less a year than Boston College.

somewhere in the middle of my list!
My top choice is UVA, but ive already gotten in to BC honors, unc (obv)
and im waiting on uva, cornell, vandy, washu, richmond, tulane, bucknell, and elon…
but elon, tulane, and bucknell dont really concern me anymore

***not trying to sound obnoxious w the bottom part! just meant id rather go to unc or bc over them

I’m definitely going to be at Chapel Hill! Tufts is the only other school I applied to that I actually care about, but I mainly applied to see if I can get in. It was my dream school over the summer, but then I realized that it’s too cold and too far away. I have two baby nephews and a niece on the way, and I want to see them grow up!

Anybody else gonna join me in the fall? I’m so excited. :)

lol i applied to a lot of the same schools as you guys. i’m basically waiting on georgetown, northwestern, tufts, JHU, penn, cornell & brown. but i don’t have much hope for the ivies :P

even so, i lovelovelove UNC!! so there’s a huge chance i will attend

For DS, it depends entirely on merit aid. We will sell him to the highest bidder. And something tells me that won’t be UNC.

DS himeself wants to go to Western Carolina. (They have already given him merit aid.)

It’s all up in the air right now.

Got my Master’s at Tufts. Can’t speak to the undergraduate experience there – I lived off-campus as a grad student, so I didn’t have the full Tufts experience.

It’s a fine school, but I think UNC would be nicer. I’m originally from the frozen North, and I hope never to return there to live again. Boston’s a fun city, but it’s too darned COLD, lol.

And, to tell the truth, I found my Tufts MA (in English) program a bit high-school-y or at least undergraduate-y. We were using anthologies with excerpts from various works. In graduate school, one should be using more primary sources, methinks. I dunno. I did have some good professors, though, and they were friendly and approachable.

But, again, since I didn’t live on campus, I can’t say what the undergarduate experience would be like.

There was a great all-night diner in nearby “Slummerville.” And a good, cheap Italian restaurant, too. Hope they’re still there. :)

Heck yes i’m going :D

Maybe. I also applied to Duke, MIT, and Harvard. Really, it depends on where else I get accepted and what kind of financial aid/scholarships I get.

if i get into uva, then i’ll go to uva because it’s instate tuition and i love it too. but unc is my number one!! whichever happens i’ll be THRILLED with. can’t stop smiling. today is a very good day.

I’m going to UNC-CH. You didn’t even have to ask that :)

Just got into UNC, which is tied with NYU. Not sure which I’ll go to if I get into both, currently learning more toward UNC but I’m still on the ‘acceptance high’.

UNC if I decide to study Chemistry

NCSU if I decide to study Chemical Engineering

Everything is still up in the air for me, but I do love both institutions

Currently my top three are BC, BU, and UNC. I’d love to go to school in Boston, and I’m already into BC and their honors program, but money will definitely be a factor in where I end up going. I’m still waiting on replies from BU, Duke, and WashU.

UNC acceptance makes me shiver.

Accepted at St. Andrews in Scotland.

Interesting choices.

Definetly one of top choises…OOS so merit aid needed…waiting few more decisions.

See you on Franklin street…no place I’d rather be.

My S has narrowed it down to UNC and Notre Dame. He applied RD to ND so we will wait and see. Other schools no longer matter to him. Personally I want him to go to UNC because I felt it would be a better fit for him there. I don’t want him to get caught up in ND football hype.

depends on how my visit goes next month…
