What other schools did you turn down to go to Princeton (that you were seriously considering?)

What eventually helped you to choose Princeton, did you feel you might regret anything?

And now that you are at Princeton, do you have any regrets, or were those simply regrets of the past?

Currently, all I basically know about Princeton is that it is amazing in undergraduate studies, good social life, but otherwise I don't know much else. I know there's much more to this institution (after all, it's Princeton! haha)

I’m going to necro this thread to provide some input.

1) I picked it over Stanford

2) I was worried that Stanford had more international prestige. That was all that was holding me back from Pton. The very real focus on undergraduate studies sealed the deal for me, as did the beautiful campus and the suburban location (Stanford still felt urban to me). I enjoyed the social life complemented by a very strong focus on academics (Stanford I felt was too far shifted in the “play” direction).

3) I have absolutely no regrets. In fact, had I known what it would be like, I wouldn’t have even applied to Stanford. Or anywhere else. I’m not kidding – Princeton literally offers everything I wanted in college. Of course, what I’m looking for (very strong Catholic life, a variety of political viewpoints, intense intellectualism) may not be what you’re looking for. But I honestly don’t really have a negative thing to say about my experience at all. That is saying something.
