Any chance u could pm me one of ur princeton supplement essays with the essay question so i can see how the rest of u are writing [obviously im not gonna copy it because u've already been accepted and they would have already read that..im an honest person just looking for help!]

same here. PM me too. ty

wow good idea. same here. i'd really like an example of what a well written essay looks like.

yea makes sense...since obviously these ED or whatever people owned the admissions process and got in...us three could use ur guy's help if you are so inclined! thanks!

you know there's a little thing called the honor code right..? (even if it doesn't * technically * apply to us yet) ;)

It's not like we're going to copy the essay. It'd be interesting to see if there's any sort of commonality since the admissions office isn't really any help when it comes to explicitly stating "what they want". Is the tone in general relaxed or formal? Is the style more of a first person narrative type, or a typical thesis statement + proof kind of a deal? etc etc.

Sorry - I was just asking to see what well-written essays look like...does this violate some honor code? If it does, sorry, and nevermind then...but I didn't think it was wrong to ask this + , since they already got in, why would I copy their essays....the admissions committee would recognize a copied essay and immediately reject, obviously..just asking to see what a well-written essay looks like.

There's a bunch of books available that have essays that acceptees used on their college apps [50 Successful Harvard Application Essays, versions 1 and 2; 100 Successful College Application Essays]. The best thing to do would be to go to a Barnes & Noble or Borders, to the Reference section, and sit down and read over some of those essays.

oooh... I wouldn't advise reading books (like 100 Successful College Application Essays) that indiscriminately paste essays from succesful students together. Some of the essays in them are actually pretty bad. I'd suggest reading On Writing the College Application Essay, by Harry Bauld.

Ill sum up one of my essays for you though:

The person who inspired me ... An ex a long time ago ... She had this unholy fetish for Cheese ... espcially mouldy cheese ... She made me eat it ... I liked it surprisingly- even though the toilet beckoned. Ever since then- I like trying new things out because there's no harm in trying :)

Simple as that ... and i'm not joking

haha
yeah, jsut write about random stuff, ramblings, they like it ;)

They'll be like ooo you're the next Einstein of writing or what not, perhaps of CHeese in Kjoodle's case? :D
