This thread is dedicated to everyone who found that there college dreams were deffered. To those who got into their dream schools but couldn't afford to go. To those who are wondering if all the years of hard work was worth it, whether every A, and 150% effort was worth being comprimised for a single variable that is out of our hands, fate , destiny, luck or whatever you call it.

aw - what a thoughtful thread =P

Yah...i got waitlisted to my dream college - Oberlin College.
I'll be attending the University of Rochester in the fall though...

Im still recovering from the shock of not being able to go to a liberal arts college though =(

Im not a believer in that crap but maybe fate/destiny or whatever guided me to one of the most liberal research universities in the US instead xD

How bout for those of us who WONT get into our dream schools, but can afford to pay for them?

What happens to a dream deferred?

Does it dry up
like a raisin in the sun?
Or fester like a sore--
And then run?
Does it stink like rotten meat?
Or crust and sugar over--
like a syrupy sweet?

Maybe it just sags
like a heavy load.

Or does it explode?

(Langston Hughes)

Sorry. The title demanded the poem be posted....
