I'm starting to get really frustrated preparing for the SAT II Literature test.
I really want to get over a 750, but I can't seem to do it on any of the practice tests!

I'm upset because Literature is my best subject in high school, I was ranked #1 in my Literature class all year and the AP test was a piece of cake. I'm a voracious reader of both fiction and nonfiction, in and out of school, and I easily got a 780 in Critical Reading.

But I can't seem to consistently get less than 10 questions wrong on any SAT II Literature practice test. I just took the real CollegeBoard released test that's in the Real SAT II's book, and got 10 wrong, answering all - which is a 740 according to the curve. My biggest problem was the poems about the two rats, which I missed 4 questions on. I missed 0-2 on all the other passages. I need 4 wrong on the entire test for an 800, and I don't seem to be getting close to that goal.

Prior to the official test, I took 6 practice tests in Kaplan's SAT II Literature book, 2006-2007 Edition, and my number of questions wrong, in order, has been like this: 10,9,8,6,10,10. I don't get it! I thought I was getting better when I got 6 wrong, then I start getting 10 wrong again, then 10 wrong on the real test.

So for those of you who got perfect or near perfect scores on the Literature test: Please tell me, How on earth did you do it??

Thanks,
A Concerned Reader
