To transfer or not to transfer?

Assuming that I have can get into Cornell as a transfer applicant, should I considering transferring there? I am currently at the University of Melbourne, and for some of you that dont know, it is not exactly a "prestigious" university, unlike Cornell. If I were to transfer, would it give me benefit for when I apply for graduate admissions? Would the classes at Cornell be harder than the ones at my university?

I believe that some problems associated with transfer is that I may lose credit, and thus take a longer time to graduate.

PS. I am doing double major Electrical engineering/Physics - 5 yrs course.

well, if you were already accepted transfer, that means you already applied. this leads to the conclusion that you had reason to want to transfer. and yes, the undergrad school (as well as how you do) matters in graduate admissions.

Would the quality of education be very different between these 2 universities. And no, I havnt applied yet, but I might.
