To UC Berkeley Spring admits

Hello.
Does your MyBerkeleyApp still say that your transcripts are in review? Mine's still in review and I'm a spring admit to Berkeley that starts in Spring 2012. I was wondering if anyone's having the same problem?

And where are spring admits on CC planning to live? I applied for on-campus housing a few weeks ago.. but I don't know if it will be good for me.

Thanks in advance.

Mine left the review process months ago, but I got them in early.

Send a message to your admissions officer and ask.

Mine are all “Received - Final” except for my current CC which is “Received - In Review” because I’m taking two courses in the Fall. Are you going to the Spring CalSO?

Yes I am. Were you able to sign up already? I know that we can sign up starting today but it still won’t let me sign up for calso…

And when did you send your transcripts?

I sent my transcripts the week I was accepted.

I don’t know if Spring CalSO is worth it… (November 4 for transfers)

If you’re not able to join us for CalSO next month, you still need to log into our website at http://calso.berkeley.edu/</a> and let us know by October 17 (we will then contact you on November 5 with course enrollment instructions).

We only get a one day advance for course enrollment?..

Fuuu it, I registered… time to get travel arrangement in order.

I sent my transcripts in July… Maybe that’s because they are not done reviewing? I signed up for calso on nov4 as well… I need to arrange flight…

@ Pessimistic: re: “We only get a one day advance for course enrollment?..”

CalSo attendees might only gain a day on enrollment, but they also get a chance to have a quick session with their departmental advisor. These admins can be a wealth of information and will know how to navigate the system far better than the average student. They are also your first line of contact with the university if you have a problem. They can be incredible assets for you as an advocate. Take advantage of the opportunity to meet with them. The better that they know you, the better they will be at helping you in a critical moment (if one arises).

You’ll also get a chance to meet the counselors at the Transfer Center and learn about their 1-unit campus resources course. A very useful class that can inform you about potential scholarships, internships, research grants, etc.

did you send your high school transcript? seems like you didn’t

I did send my hs transcript.

this isn’t berkeley related, but even if you are a CC transfer to any UC/CSU, you still need to submit your high school transcripts?

@UCkittychen: of course. They require hs transcripts once you get accepted. At least Berkeley did.

geez, imo so unnecessary.

@ berkeleyphil

your transcript was probably incomplete then. you probably didn’t graduate

@ kittychan

only some UCs require them. berkeley and sd are infamous for it.

beginning to consider SD over Irvine now, so guess it applies to me.

Have you already submitted your TAG application for Irvine? I’d probably pick SD over Irvine if I were you…considering it’s a higher ranked school.

TAG submitted to Davis.

@Ryan: Yes, I did graduate. I don’t know what you’re saying but I think it’s just that I sent my transcripts pretty late (but definitely before the deadline and my advisor said they received mine on time) and I’m worried they are still in review.
