Have any of you who applied in FALL get any e-mails from UCLA saying that they got you application like UCI did?

ucla is too lazy to do so..heheh jk...no not yet, and i don't think they will..

UCLA give the best rejections letters. I got one last year as HS student. It's like poetry lol/

Pasadena_boy, I have not got any letter or an email from UCLA. Also, their application decision site is not up yet...

UCLA doesn't send out the happy "yay thanks for applying, we got it yo" forms like SD and some of the other schools do. We just get to assume that all goes well and stuff. Anything else would counteract all the fun psychological toying they do to us, naturally.

Oh, and the decision site wont be up for a long, long while, I'm sure. They're usually the very, very last of the UCs to get stuff rolling.

There was a similar thread to this about a few weeks ago... someone had said that UCLA gets waaaay too many applications to bother sending acknowledgements. Makes sense. Even if you do go to their website, they don't mention anything about an individual UCLA Application Status page like the other UCs... the last time I checked, they just simply tell you to visit the Application Updates site to update your Fall grades/planned courses.

highschoolda... like poetry? LOL.

allie... "yay thanks for applying." haha!

UC_hopeful- Seriously! The one I got from San Diego was very enthusiastic in tone. I was honestly kind of surprised after dealing with UCLA reps and information for the past couple years. I've gotten quite used to the "maybe if we take pity on you, you can go here" vibe they send out. The little flyer from SD was a jarring and refreshing break.

Too bad I dont wanna go there?!

*to clarify, so as not to offend, the scary vibe is from reps/faculty and admissions paperwork, not students. ucla students are the best. I swear.
