To What Extent Does Race Play A Role In Application?

<p>I'm from an under-represented minority (African-American), and my GPA is about 3.75 (probably will be about 3.77 or 3.78 at the end of the year). I'm not from a lower class family, and I'm not a first generation student (second gen). How much will my ethnicity impact my chance at admission?</p>

<p>Also, if my father went to UChicago for Law School and taught a law course there for several years, does that count as legacy/alum relation?</p>

<p>A university’s common data set (section C7) will tell whether race and alumni relation matter.</p>

<p>However, University of Chicago does not post its common data set on its web site, unlike most other universities.</p>
