<p>The one guy I know who's tied for valedictorian is going to Colorado State University. And no, it ain't a bad school. It's actually pretty competitive, just that not many care about prestige. All the prestige hogs go to another school in town that offers IB classes.</p>

<p>My year (04) I have no idea, but my friend graduated Val this year at my alma mater, and was accepted to:</p>
<p>Stanford, Williams, Cornell, Dartmouth, Brown, Cornell, Carnegie-Mellon, Duke, and Yale.</p>
<p>She chose to go to Williams.</p>

<p>To post 257, if they find the schools "snotty" and turned them down, didn't they realize this "fact" prior to applying and if so, why did they apply other than the fact that they could say "Oh, but I got in but I was decent enough to turn it down" 8P</p>

<p>vss school if u ever live on long island and u have a special kid(Learning Disabled/ADD or ADHD) and u have the money to spend 20k or ur childs smart enough to get a scholarship(or qualifies) or ur child fails so many subjects and qualifies for this school ur kid could be payed by the district to be thrown out of ur public school and sent there. I know kids who were thrown out! ITs vincent Smith school! but I just went for a better education for me im one of the smarter ones! I joined this site so i wouldnt have to go to CW POST or NYIT I could go to a better college then everyone else in my grade.</p>
