Ours went to Wash-U with a 4.96 weighted GPA. He took all Honors/AP courses, except P.E. because there wasn't one.

The Val is going to a local school, which isn't really comparable to the places CCers apply to. In my opinion, the val at my school could have gotten in to H, but wants to stay (near home) and become a music teacher.

At S's school:

2005 val- Pomona
2004 val- Brigham Young

The 4.0ers:
1) Vanderbilt
2) UF
3) UF
4) UF
5) USF
6) USF
7) Tulane
8) UMiami
I'm not sure where the other 4 are going

National Merit Scholars:
Vandy, Tulane, UF, UCF

Most people at my school go where the scholarships are, so there aren't many who even apply to HYPS.

'07 Val: Stanford
'08 Val: Penn

'09
1. Dartmouth
2. MIT
3. Brown
4. Penn (Wharton)
5. Penn (Wharton)

Edit: I used Dartmouth's system of numbering by college grad year rather than high school.

slipstream99, are you valedictorian?

Anyways for '05

There's so many people from my class going to UA. I don't think it's a matter of them not able to make it to top tier schools, but a matter of wanting to be with friends. (They be homies, got me?)

last year -
my school doesn't rank, but we knew who the top 2 were:
V - W&M
S - UVA

other noteables:

1 Duke
1 Richmond (full ride)
1 USAFA
2 USNA

Our valedictorian this year is going to St. John's in MD. What. Drives me insane. No grades, just reading. I don't understand. Her sister (who will be valedictorian of my class) will probably do something similar. Wow.

The Val from my graduating class ended up at DQ (Dairy Queen - literally) She ended up pregant with three kids and a white-trash husband. Serves her right; She use to be very cruel and make fun of me for a number of reasons.

ours this year got rejected from stanford and princeton, but into harvard

ThomasH32....

I really didn't mean it in a selfish way. Sometimes you have to put humorous slants on situations in life. Besides, she was my girlfriend at one time and she found a way to break my heart :(
King...Please don't think I'm heartless. I didn't mean it in a sadistic way.
