hi, i've been really nervous recently about colleges, and so i thought that if i saw some of your stats, i could more effectively gauge where i am.

sure, there are essays and a bunch of other variables to the admission process, but if any current ucsd students could post their year, ucgpa and SAT scores, that'd be awesome and much appreciated.

I thought you wanted to judge your chances. That page shows the formula that UCSD uses. The cutoff is usually around 7500.

The UCSD population on CC isn't really representative of the UCSD population, so I don't know how useful asking is. Plus, self-selection biases the answers even further.

wow, that site is really helpful- i found one on UCSD's site that was kinda vague and annoying >.<
do you think the minimum requirements would change for year to year? or at least probably not a lot?

what exactly does this mean: "Participation in pre-collegiate/motivational and enrichment programs: AVID, EAOP, commercial and school test preparation courses, etc."?

yup, more points. i didn't know that when i applied so i didn't even bother putting that in my application :/. oh well, at least everything turned out well.

All of those courses are real classes (not PE/Athletics). If I add all that I have taken so far I get 35, but if I include next year (senior year), I get 45 semesters. How many points should I be giving myself? Am i doing it incorrectly anyway?
