I'm going to Borders, buying two large coffees and a biscotti and researching my schools like no other. Deciding between a few, my parents threw out a few for me (they ARE paying...) but my top choices are still on. Anyone else cramming this "decision". April tenth is coming up so fast... :). I was going to make an objective list, taking into aspect EVERY datum I can find. With that weight each aspect in the order of my like, and get a final "score for each".

After that I was going to subjectively compare, with things such as "fit" and "prestige" and make a final decision with that. I'm looking forward to it, especially my Irish Cream Latte....

We are right there with you PPV! Unfortunately we have been making pro/con lists with weightings and trade studies for weeks and still don’t have a final decision!

Why don’t you go with Milton? It sounds like you are really excited for that experience with the profs doing research!

If you’re still considering Exeter, I’ll be online for the next 1.5 hours (…homework hours…) should you have immediate questions. I’m a student and can give you some “inside” info :P

Cool! Thanks… I got most of my questions answered from PEAteacher, if I have any I will be sure to ask… I guess my first question is what made you pick Exeter, and what course intrigues you the most?

At PA-C, I am excited for the research. When I talked about starting my Intel project my interviewer told me that… Of course I doubt I will be able to do it before my last few years… :)

If I were you I would go to Milton. You seem to love it more. Go with your heart. Milton was my second choice after Hotchkiss and it really did tear me when I was trying to decide between the two. But one of Milton’s MAJOR asset is the fat that you are basically right in Boston and can have a blast on weekends - plus since there are many day students student life is probably top notch since the kids know what you can do in and around town or at house parties ( I am assuming). Milton socially is probably No.1. Academically there really is no difference between Milton and HADES in fact Milton sends more kids to Harvard than any other school so if that is how you judge your schools then Milton is probably a good place for you to go (I would not judge schools like that but anyhow some people do). I just think Milton is an amazing amazing school. You go for it girl ! The decision is totally up to you though ! Good luck wherever you go !

principal, don’t go to Exeter. GO TO ANDOVER. We can chill together. Plus the kids at Exeter seemed more nerdy (my opinion.) We have been talking about Exeter students being nerdy on the board for a while. After going to revisit day I agree with this. Of course there ae some amazing athletes, but just looking at the incoming class objectively, the students were far shorter than the other four schools I visited. A couple kids were like 5 feet tall. There were lots more nerdy looking kids too. ANDOVER my man. ANDOVER.

My heart really is not soo much more for Milton, according to everything so far it clicks a bit more. I did not get to revisit either… and I know Milton is a great school :), reason I applied. :p

Milton, Milton, MILTON !
I mean, especially if you love Milton so much.
You will thrive where you have your heart at, and it seems to me that place is Milton!
Good luck with your decision PPV!

incoming class- yes other prospective students. It didn’t look like they did good enough recruiting. I want to play varsity lax during my career. If the team sucks then… but yah, I know some small players that are sick nasty. Just trying to find a way to judge athletic talent objectively (you can’t really do that)

Ahahaha but don’t you know that a considerable amount of people who were accepted at Exeter were accepted at a number of other schools, including Andover? I imagine the nerdy (aka brainy?) ones especially are the ones who have several options. What if you decided to go to Andover in hopes of dodging all those “nerdy, short” prospectives from Exeter only to find out in the fall that they’re in your math class or something after having chosen Andover as well? :P

Benev- is someone else signed on to your username today? Your comments today are out of whack with the person that I had corresponded with a month ago. Did your acceptances go to your head?

No, never mind. When I went to Exeter I was truing to figure out wheter it was really more nerdy than Andover. Can’t really say it was. Kids looked basically like Andover kids, except smaller. For all I know, they could have been better athletes. I thought that it was just interesting.

And yah, today I am annoyed as hell. It has to do with Andover and another school. It’s a long story. It has to do with FA and stuff. PM me if you want to know.

Does it matter if it is more nerdy? It’s a school for heavens sake. They have a formal dress code, Andover doesn’t. While it is your choice, it is a bad reason to insult a school. anyway, sorry if you had a bad day, not trying to pour salt on the wounds. Feel free to PM me :)
