Todays Act Science

Does anybody remember any tough science questions

The one where you had 2 resistors and you had to say which one released the most heat or something like that.

Other than that, the entire section was pretty much one big blur to me.

Which year was the flood in? I put 1992 because the flooding was lowest that year. After 1992 it went up so I assumed that that year was the flood and after, in 1993, the drainage.

I put 1993, because there was an enormous amount of drainage… Wouldn’t the flood and the drainage happen in the same year?

for some reason i went blank on the last five questions and i didn’t have enough time to answer the last 2 questions for the fighting scientist. i just chose b and g (second option)

but the drainage is symbolized by the graph going UP right? down would mean less drainage

canderson 11 - I liked the last passage - the opposing viewpoints one. We just finished talking about phages and bacteria and DNA and mutations and all that fun stuff in AP Bio a few weeks ago, so I did most of it from my knowledge… Only part of the science section that I feel I did okay on.

wana - Yeah, it spiked in 93, didn’t it?

i didnt know what to say for the buoyancy one

I said that the buoyant force decreased when the liquid came in through the hole and so the bowl sank.

i said increased and rose i think but i had no clue

same here sciencefrenchie but i wasn’t sure about that. it sounded right to me so i picked it

I know in the passage it said that the guy who did the experiments timed the amount of time it took for the bowl to sink to the bottom, so I went with that one.

The buoyant force decreased so the bowl sank.

did you guys get 40 days as one of the answers?

I got 20 for that one, jelecrois, though I was kind of skeptical.

I put 20 days. The half-life was 20 days, and you started with a concentration of 20 and it had to stay above 10.

Anybody remember what they put for 40, the picture problem for the E. coli passage?

guessed completely. put the second answer. does anyone remember their answer?

I guessed the B for that one as well, although it was a guess. For some reason I thought it was A or B.

Darn. D:
When do scores come out anyways?
And how much could you miss for a 33?
