what did you guys think of todays act?

i had trouble with the math section, but i always have trouble with math. the rest was easy for me

Reading screwed me over again, didn’t have enough time as always. Math was kind of hard and english was kind of hard too. I didn’t care about Science.

can we talk about specific questions?

I thought the math was harder than normal.

Math seemed more difficult than usual, but do-able. The rest seemed relatively easily compared to Dec.

English - Harder than December
Math - Easier than December
Reading - Harder than Dec.
Science - Much easier than Dec. Conflicting Viewpoints was a little harder though
Essay - Run of the mill school-related essay

Son called and said science was hard. His first time taking ACT. Felt Eng and Reading were not difficult, said Math was more difficult that the Jan SAT Math but still felt it went well.

Math was a lot harder than December I think… guess I can count out raising that score =/

The rest was a breeze though.

There was one science passage where the questions were like a paragraph long each… and two questions in which you needed actual science knowledge. Both extremely easy, though.

can we talk about specific questions

hmm… im not sure. go for it i guess.

i was wondering about the math question with the towers

Was it 22?

i put 24. i didnt know how to do it but i estimated 22 or 24. I think #73 on english when it said “marvel at.” was it omit the “at” or no change

i put no change… any one know how to do the towers question i think i put 22 or 24 but i estimated too

I think it was no change, because marvel [insert noun here] sounds wrong…

For the math one - I created linear equations for the hypotenuses of each of the triangles, and then found their point of intersection. Not sure if it was right…

thats a good idea i might try that cuz i have the problem memorized

i put no change to. i kept saying the sentence in my head like 100 times with and without the at and i couldnt figure out if one sounded wrong. it was pretty irritain but i was done with the test and had 10 minutes to blow. I’m not sure i got the question after it right though. while emerging, after i emerged, then i emerged… my mind went numb at the end

I put emerging (that might have been “no change”)

Do you remember what passage the “marvel at” one was in?
