deposition: I put realized. ACT likes brevity. if there is a simple word and then a group of words saying the same thing, but obivously more complicated like, than most likely its the smaller word. there was grabbed and realized and the passage talked about her dream so i figured realized her dream sounds better than grabbed her dream

Yeah after thinking about it realized was definitely correct.

what was the answer for number 60 math. i didn’t know how to do it. I think I put 8 radical something for my answers. it came out 25.### some decimal.

canderson 11 - I had 30. The lengths they gave you were 3 and 4. The hypotenuse (one of the half-diagonals of the hexagon) was 5. Since a hexagon is made up of equilateral triangles, the sides would also equal 5. There are 6 sides-- 6*5 = 30.

i put 30. Do you guys remember the answer to the question with the circle and the three inscribed angles?

oh I knew i should have drawn a triangle. and I put 72 for that question butterman (again another one i didn’t know how to solve). looking at the angles they didn’t look like they would go over 90, but I’m pretty sure there was a real way to do it that will prove my way of doing it wrong :)

butterman - 90. If you drew the arcs of the angles they gave you, they formed a semicircle (you knew that because the endpoints connected with the diameter they gave you). Since the angle is half the arc (180), it was 90.

well there you go

Sounds like everyone has the same math answers I did. I got a 36 math last time and am hoping for the same (while raising my English I hope!). To answer the question about scoring, on the Dec ACT only zero wrong was a 36. But last April and June, missing 1 was still a 36.

Edited to remove answers!

marciemi - since I’ve gotten all the answers you have, here’s to hoping that I got the same score you did. :)

Heads Up–The ACT was postponned in the greater Philadelphia/South New Jersey area–be careful in speaking about actual questions/answers. Students might be taking the same test. There should be an emabargo

Hope so too sciencefrenchie! I wasted a LOT of time today on one stupid problem.

Edited to remove the question if we’re not supposed to be talking about them! Oops - sorry!

Being more general though - I owned the essay today. Was astounded to get a 12 on that in December and this time I filled in all the pages, said everything I wanted to say, used good examples and quotes, and still had two minutes at the end to twiddle my thumbs!

how do u edit posts

i think you can only edit if you are the last person to post

Is there some way to collectively remove all of the questions that are on here? I wasn’t aware that the ban was still on, either.

English - Easy - 28-33
Math - Moderate - 26-30
Reading - Easy - 28-36
Science - Moderate - 26-30

did anyone else find that math question weird that was like the bricks is 7 times L*H
it told you the height was 20 then asked for the height?

I dont remember that one. what else did it say?

For the reschedule test centers, the ACT has to use a different test, right? If anyone with a rescheduled test has a friend in another state, they could tell or email them the essay topic, the hard math questions to prepare for, etc. Cheating/helping (or whatever you want to call it) would obviously be very likely, and I would imagine it would hurt the ACTs creditability if they gave the same test out a week or a two later that they just gave.
