TOEFL Exam

<p>ello, Does anyone know if you have been living in the U.S for 5 years and have attended U.S high schools but English is not your primary language, do you need to take the TOEFL? for UVa?</p>

<p>I don’t think you need a toefl score, you can go and check it yourself on some universities’ website-admission - international student.
I saw once that international students are exempted from Toefl test if they have attended three US high school(3 years) or they have attended two years for college.
Besides, if you have lived in US FOR 5 years and have attended US
toefl is just a piece of cake for you -
Hope this can help you -</p>

<p>I am confused about the TOEFL</p>

<p>[TOEFL</a> iBT: Who Accepts TOEFL Scores](<a href=“http://www.ets.org/toefl/ibt/about/who_accepts_scores]TOEFL”>http://www.ets.org/toefl/ibt/about/who_accepts_scores)
As you can tell from the link most schools accept the TOEFL, but whether you need it or not is the question. Check with your guidance counselor. What is your English language level/tier at this point. If it is beyond year 4 you most likely will not need it.
A call to the admissions office may help too.</p>
