TOEFL Help

Well I asked a college to waive the Toefl for me..
They denied my request.. but in the end I got accepted without Toefl score

Conclusion: Toefl is not required

TOEFL might be waived if you score good marks in the SAT Verbal. There is no exact score that will help waive the TOEFl as it depends according to schools. it might go up to as high as 700. So better do TOEFL. It's damn easy. And jai 220-273 is good enough even for Harvard. So no worries. But colleges like Harvard will not give a **** to the TOEFl, once it's over 250.

Took the real test a week ago.. Got a score range of 232 - 292 so hopefully I'm all set..

Thanks

@jai: there is no common SAT cutoff. It varies with the school. Off the top of my head I can list Amherst: 700 CR + 700 Writing, Brown: 600 CR (sweet!) and Cornell: 670 CR. I took advantage of this policy at these three schools and eventually got in Amherst, so it did work after all:)
Btw, Harvard, Williams and Swarthmore doesn't require the TOEFL at all, for your info.
