<p>Toefl is easier if you are familiar with the ETS style, like the SATs’… i mean especially the writing part 
because I think the IELTS calls for different things.
For instance, although I got a full mark in Toefl writing, I get a mere 7/9 in the IELTS. </p>
<p>You can email the universities to ask if they wavier the requirement but I guess it will do you good if you submit a good TOEFL or IELTS regardless whether it is required or not.</p>
