TOEFL or SAT?? (btw, chance me plz)

hi, im a high school student and gonna be senior nxt year.
i have taken SAT on may, and got awful score on reading+writing (which i cant even mention here :P)

since i've been US for 3 years, my counselor advised me taking TOEFL, but i don't really know that colleges only take a look at my TOEFL score or take both TOEFL AND SAT reading+writing as the consideration.

say i wanna apply for johns hopkins, is it hopeless if i got SAT under 2000?

my stats:

GPA: uw3.6 w4.4
SAT: reaing:, math:750, writing:
SAT II: math ic: 740, iic:800, bio:720, japanese:770
AP: have taken only 1 --> chinese:5

-senior yr-
AP BC calc
AP physics C
Honors Neuroscience
AP Psychology
Honors Adv. Art
(regular senior English)

EC
hmmm... not that much...
i've been painting school mural for quite long time, does that count?
also the illustrator for school paper
(maybe more.. :P)

Volunteering
-doing laboratory work at hospital science lab for 2-3 yrs (only doing vacations & breaks though...)
-did volunteer work at an orphanage and an elders' house for a week (6-7 hrs/day) in china.

JHU requires TOEFL iBT at least 99, and i'm pretty confident that i can get more than that. but i just dont know that if i get more than 99, they'll just ignore my SAT english scores or not.

thanks!

I'm kinda confused, but just send in your TOEFL, not your SAT. Plus, I bet they will respect the fact that you've only been in the US for 3 years, hence the bad results with writing and reading.

TOEFL proves that you are proficient in English; the SAT CR proves that you're proficient in vocab in context and, gee, critical reading. So no, they won't ignore your SAT score.
