Hi I'm an international student from East Asia.
Duke recommends sending TOEFL score, only if it represents better English ability than the SAT score. Does this mean if my TOEFL score is not that high compared to my SAT, I'd better not send the TOEFL one?
My SAT is 2340 (R760 M800 W780) but my TOEFL is somehow only 110 (R30 S28 L28 W24). I'm not sure what happened to the writing section..
Do you guys think I should just keep the TOEFL score and send only the SAT?

I don’t think a 110 TOEFL is necessarily bad, is it? It’s about the 94th percentile or so for undergrads (using old 2010 data). I would send the TOEFL if both of your subject tests are math-sciencey, or if you do not have English coursework. I don’t think there’s a disconnect between the TOEFL score and SAT score, really, but I don’t have a lot of experience with this.

Make sure your English reads natively as well in your essays-- some of the syntax here is nonnative. Not wrong, but nonnative.

Send SAT or both.
purpleacorn: which one is nonnative?
