TOEFL Test

Hey, guys!

I came to the US when I was 10, however I'm fluent in English now and have decent grades in school. I was wondering if I still have to take the TOEFL test even when I have been here for 7 years and is fluent in English?

Thanks in advance!

Every college is different in regards to taking the TOEFL. For instance, Stanford doesn't even require it.....but it helps them to better understand your English abilities. Your best bet is to contact the colleges and ask them.

Are you international student or you're now a US citizen? I think this is the question should be addressed?

I am a permanent resident of the US currently, and I live in NY. By the way, thanks for the replies so far!

All the colleges I checked waive the Toefl for students that studied in an English-speaking school for at least 4 years,
