I know that MIT - which is very good and actually ranked 1st in many rankings for Life Sciences - doesn’t require SAT I for international students, allowing then to submit TOELF results (with a minimum grade of 600, I think) instead.
Hope this helps!

im not from exchange student!!!
i just came during the summer and its my first school year in us,
i am junior and the college office told me to take the toefl…
can u give more details about MIT?

Sorry, I thought you were international…
Anyway, you may still be able to take TOELF instead of SAT, but then I think you must call or write an e-mail to MIT (or any other college you intend to apply to) and explain your situation.
I checked MIT’s admission site and the minimum grade for TOELF is 577 (recommended 600) for paper-based exam and 90 (recommended 100) for iBT.
But you should definitely call then before deciding what to do. Good luck!

thnx!!!
