Are you guys (intls students) submitting your TOEFL scores to Harvard? I read on the web site that it is not required. Should I still do it or just go with my high reading score and save 17 bucks?

Ooops, sorry for the typo in the name of the thread

I didn't submit it. (I had a 115, CR 720)
They don't even recommend it or something...

Thanks Rister_Chutophs :)
That's what I read on the web site, wanted to find out how other people are doing it.
What about Yale they say they recommend it as a proof of proficiency (or smthng like that). I got a 35 Reading, you think they still want it?

With the above mentioned exception, I sent my TOEFL to all colleges.
The reason is that I haven't done anything like foreign exchange or something else that would attest for proficiency in English (especially, speaking and listening).
If you don't mind spending the 17$, go for it.. but I can't imagine that they would reject you because you didn't submit a TOEFL score =) plus, you have it on your Common App anyway, right? So even though they're probably not supposed to consider it, they WILL see it..

The thing is my bank account is 17 dollars short - just enough to pay for all my schools except one, so I'm looking where not to send scores, otherwise I have to go to the bank - and it would be a time consuming pain

wow - it takes 17 dollars to send scores to one college- what a brilliant way to make money...........
i never gave Toefl- if your CR score is above 700-you don't really need to give Toefl.
Though it can't hurt i guess.
Don't send your score to one of your safeties if you really want to send it to Harvard.
