I was considering living in Tolbert Hall next semester and I was wondering how former (or current) Tolbert residents can tell me how they liked it? How are the rooms themselves? Would you compare to how rooms at Broward are like? If anyone has any pictures they would like to share that would also be great.

I was also wondering if anyone has ever lived in the ROTC living-learning community. If so, how was your experience and do you have to go about doing anything particular to live in the community?

Thanks!

I lived in North hall, which is in the Tolbert area, last year as a sophomore. The dorms in the same area are essentially all the same. I’d say it’s a great location because it’s next to Gator Dining which is where a lot of freshmen eat especially if you have a meal plan and it’s across from the stadiums, which is obviously very convenient on gameday weekends. Also, if you’re going to be doing ROTC, Tolbert area is literally directly across the street from the ROTC building.
Like most dorms on campus, the building are quite old and so they look that way inside too but once you get all your stuff in your room and personalize it and such, it won’t matter. The bathroom are fairly clean, at least until everyone starts using them.
There is a difference in the setup between the rooms at Broward and the rooms in Tolbert. You can virtually tour each at this link and they are very similar to those.

I don’t know about the ROTC living community but hope the rest of this helped!

Rooms are very similar to Broward. Great location. Close to dining hall.
