Well if they said they were mailing it tomorrow night, then technically that would mean they were mailing it Wednesday... as far as I know post isnt collected at nighttime! lol.

just did that USPS calculator thing.. I would guess that if you haven't heard anything by Saturday it would be a bad thing.. mine says 2 days for priority and 3 for regular. Hmm.

Well, when I called, they said "Tuesday evening." Now, my guess is that the post office will pick their stuff up as the last batch of the day, given Princeton's bulk mailing situation. But they wouldn't have said "Tuesday evening" if they meant Wednesday morning, yeah?

So, if they do pick it up late Tuesday, I'd be surprised if people don't hear on Thursday. Princeton, NJ kids, I don't know, but I bet DC, for instance, will hear Thursday. Slash I hope.

they said tuesday evening? not wednesday...well...then I may be finding out on wednesday??? WOW, ok, still uncertainty, we'll find out wednesday

They said Tuesday evening, which I take to mean they want to get it in the postal system before Wednesday. My guess is they want people to know on the 15th. Sorta' classic, you know?

Why do they tell people 100000 different things? Of the 4 times I've called in the past few weeks, they've always said Dec. 14 (Wed) for the mailing. I'm not sure what this Tuesday evening thing is or if its the same.

If they mail first thing Wed. maybe that day could count as a transit day, in which case NJ ppl would recieve Wed., and most others on Thurs. as you suggest.

Yes, Yes, annandale & others: When I send to across the country, it's 2 days even with Express. It's worth the bleepin' application fee, is it not, just to ensure another app in the mail? Please do this for yourself if there's an app deadline this week; do it now.

what does tuesday EVENING mean? the post office is closed at 5 I believe, does that count, idk, this is crazy...i think we'll know on thurs, i'm just gonna go on the premise that they're sending the letters on wednesday...

You know what I think? That they are in the mail as we speak. So far I've heard that they are coming on every day of the week. If Princeton really wanted there to be a set date, they would send an e-mail out like Yale did to tell everyone what day it was. Think about the mathematics of the decision. If Princeton says call on Friday, that means they expect all letters to be opened by Friday at the latest. Thus, acceptances come at least 2 days earleir than rejections, since they are priority. Granted, Princeton doesnt want a million people complaining if they recieve their letters late so they say Friday, but mean a lot earlier. I wouldn't be suprised if NJ started recieving tomorrow. And I used to belive GrecoPrincetonian until even he kept changing his mind. we'll all see if I am right by tomorrow, but don't be suprised
