Subjective:

* Essays: Very good, according to my counselor.
* Teacher Recs: didn't see them, but they worked
* Counselor Rec: didn't see it but my counselor really likes me so it must have been pretty good.

Location/Person:

* State or Country: CT, USA
* School Type: private boarding school, I'm a day student there.
* Ethnicity: White
* Gender: Male
* major strength/weakness: SAT scores were low but my experiences and grades must have made up for the them quite a bit.
* why you think you were accepted: My regional officer and I had met at my school in the Fall and we chatted quite a bit. I kept contact with her in the Winter by email. I think that the connection with the admissions officer plus my great interview and my international lifestyle that Duke is trying to increase on its campus were some of the main deciding factors.

I am extremely happy to be accepted to Duke and would love to go there next year. I'll have to see the aid they give me to make a decision amongst my other choices.
Congratulations to all accepted and for those of you who were waitlisted or rejected, I'm sure you'll have other great options from which to choose from. Good luck!
