Tonight is the last day for decisions!

tomorrow is in 51 mins lol...

I am lending towards berkeley because I want to grow up. I know if I go to LA I will come back every weekend. But iono might switch last min

i know i would go home every weekend too, to see my dog at least! lol

relax, mojo...

"All steps must be completed by the deadline: 11:59 p.m., Friday, June 1, 2007. (If you are admitted late--close to or after this date, you have three weeks from the date on your letter of admission to submit your SIR.)"

for which school is that?

whats the deadline for la ? Can you give me both links ?

ucla http://www.admissions.ucla.edu/NewBruins/SIRTr.htm

mojo - i would've chose ucla :)

and actually my appeal is still under review

good luck! mylifeisover.

the real question here is...any socal people actually going up to berk? lol

Damn This!

just sent out the wave of rejections, feels good to be on this side.
hecka funny, all the campuses were interested in where I was going when I declined but berkeley was just like whatever, haha.

west nile, where are u going? la?

mojo

i think the case of soc. vs comm. is more important than ucla vs ucb... since comm is your preferred major, imo you should just go to berkeley...

Anyone know if the soc program is better at berk than LA?

Go to Berkeley.. the town seems really "nifty" and laid back... and part of the college experience is living by yourself (IMO)..

Regarding living alone or not.. yeah that's probably a preference each person has, but I prefer to live alone because of my eclectic schedule. It would interfere with some else's. I think you can still make friends even if you don't live with a roommate..

Berkeley is probably my dream college.. but I doubt I'll get in because of their lib-ed req's and I think they also ask for SATs for Transfers

I agree with eracer...

I think your major is a top priority...

My mind says berkeley, it would be the smartest choice.

But my heart says LA, cuz i love it here!!

yeah mojo i'm from the valley. i really like la too, and i even actually like it more than i did before because i can actually compare it to something after living in norcal, but being in norcal is an amazing experience. just to be away from the parents... being forced to live independently... to navigate through a new area... it's really added to my character, as cheesy as it sounds.

mangazero, are u also worried about cal's size and people's individuality that they dont care about anyone!!?

Erm... UCLA is not smaller than UC Berkeley.

Additionally, you'd find more than a few SoCal people in Berkeley--at least that's what I found for the non-transfer class. Usually, it seems there's more SoCal than NorCal at Berkeley.

shrug Your choice, though I'm not sure why you necessarily believe that LA would likely be more fun as a city, it depends on personal feel.
