You may bring your bike on move-in day, there will be racks for you to lock your bike in located with your residence hall. Which dorm are you going to be in? I’m not sure about classes and restaurants though.

if it is one class, even if it has lecture and discussion sessions, you get one grade. Actually, grade is usually produced by the GSI teaching your discussion session, but under the supervision of the prof doing the lectures. Usually, there are guidelines and sometimes meetings between all the GSIs for a course to have as much consistency and fairness as possible.

Question 2: Do we take our exams in our lecture hall or discussion class?

Sometimes option c) - big courses may use some other large space, e.g. a gym, for exams. By late November, the locations will be posted on Bearfacts (under registration - final exam schedules)

Question 4: How is GPA calculated with -'s and +'s? Is a B- equal to a B+ on the gpa scale?

Question 5: Does anyone know what date exactly they post our local berkeley res hall address with room and floor number on bearfacts?
This should already be visible to you.

our floor and stuff should already be available on bearfacts? would that be under local address?

its not there for me

me either. the local addresses haven’t been updated yet.

hmmm. well, the residence folks do reserve the right to make shuffles right up until the day you check in (and later if requesting a transfer or if in a forced quad). Guess this year they are going to leave you all hanging. The welcome letters on the move-in day web site point to a somewhat broken page that promises you final info on a date that has already passed.

for midterms/finals, they sometimes aren’t during lecture but in the evening, they’ll tell you this first. other courses like chem 3a/3al have separate grades but this is b/c you sign up for them separately.
