omg that is so cool!!!!!!!!!!

AAAAH. C'MON.

I just had to live for 10 years under this guy's draconian rule.

Actually if I get in, he would be fascinating to talk to. I don't approve of his politics at ALL, but I've never thought he's a bad person. In fact, some of his decisions, especially with regards to his position on the arab israeli conflict are really quite intriguing.

What's the view of ol' Tony over in the USA? Is he hated by the anti-war folks as much as Bush is hated over here?

Sadly most people probably don't even know who he is.

I'd say overall he is far more liked than Bush. As a C-SPAN addict, I'll confess to missing the opportunity to watch him during Prime Minister's Question time. It was a treat to see him speak so quickly on topics. Such a contrast to Bush. Ah, when he and Cameron would get going sometimes--fun. We enjoy seeing Parliament in our household.

Wow, that's great! The question is, however, to what extent undergrads will be able to benefit from that. Seems that he's only teaching one seminar and participating in some other events, whatever that exactly means.

Yeah, I'm not sure what the average American thinks of Bush. I agree that he's certainly not the best prime minister the UK's ever had, but he has some interesting ideas and it would be an incredible opportunity to listen to the views of someone who had a massive impact on international affairs just recently.

OMG I was just gonna post a link of that !!!!!
It's so exciting..i cant w8 to meet him..

"Hey Tony Blair, did you correct my essay yet?"

God, I want to go to Yale just to be able to say that sentence. I knew I missed something in the 'why yale' essay. :D

i feel that he is viewed relatively favorably. The strong anti-war crowd doesn't think too highly of him, but many Ameriicans appreciate that he was an ally to the US. I'm an anti-bush liberal, but I don't have a particularly negative view of Blair (its not particularly positive either though). Even if we don't agree with everything our gov't does, I think many of us still appreciate other governments that are on the US's side.
