<p>Anyone available to look over my common app essay? It's topic #1, but written about something bad that happened to me. I've been told it's not upbeat enough.</p>
<p>Also, suggestions on where to cut ~100 words would be helpful.</p>
<p>i was afraid my topic was a little too sad/negative too. i thought it was too emotional and made me look weak. anyway, sure i'll read it.</p>
<p>i wrote about a weakness too. People who read it told me it was waaaaay too depressing /negative..so i changed mine a lot. now it's better, and i'm sending it off to colleges. i'll read yours.</p>
