And the kind of vegan you are. Because I also don’t drink soda, and I generally avoid fast sugars. But “plenty of fat vegans” feels like an exaggeration. Maybe fat vegetarianism? But no matter how much I try, not unless I spend the day eating nuts, avocados, and drinking sodas will there ever be significant traces of saturated fat in my diet. Dairy is also infamous for slowing down metabolism.

Fat vegans makes a lot of sense. On average I’m sure that vegans get less protein, so their body breaks down their muscle, and their metabolism goes way down. Doesn’t matter if you consume saturated fat or not.

I used to room with a friend who’s vegan, and he was apart of this large community of vegans. Many of them were fat.

White, processed carbohydrates does a lot more than you’d think.

also: The reason people should watch their saturated fat intake has little to do with weight gain, and far more to do with cholesterol levels.

Play DDR. I’m dead serious. You will lose weight quickly and have a lot of fun in the process. It’s extremely tiring, yet mentally stimulating.

WOW, OP you are almost exactly like me about 6 months ago in February. I was 5’10" at 240lbs.
The poster above is not joking. The majority of my workouts were DDR since it was so funnn and didn’t really feel like exercise at all. I also mix in some treadmill (with music to prevent boredom) and cycling around the neighborhood. Another thing that helped a lot, switch out sodas for diet or water, I remember one time I was stuck at 230lbs for like two weeks and we ran out of Coke and I was forced to drink diet Coke for the rest of the week and by the end of the week I was down to 228lbs (I drink ALOT of soda). In summary, eat less and exercise more!

The ultimate thing you need is the willpower. I had to make it down under 220 to fly a Cessna 152 and that was the one thing that ensured I exercised everyday. By July I had reached 210lbs and now I’m stuck at 208lbs because I don’t have any other goal now, I just barely exercise enough to maintain the weight and not go up again. If you have the will you’ll find the way.

Seriously, DDR was the key for me. And of course eat less!

Elliptical m8! I lost approx 15 lbs in 2 months just by doing the elliptical for an hour everyday basically losing 600 calories a day.. Somehow, the elliptical at my school atleast is perceived to be something that only gals use but screw that! Its the fastest way to burn calories and easier on the knees..lol
