Too Good To Go…..who has tried it?

Yes! Im very happy; I will definitely purchase again - in fact, I have!

The Pie Hole shows up on my list too; it’s inside the Gelsen’s in PB. I keep hoping to catch something at the local Peet’s but I’m not sure they’ve even ever had a bag available. I’m jealous of Eataly! But I’d probably be hoping for a couple of pounds of fresh pasta.

There is Eataly here in Boston on the list, they have 2 options to choose from. Both are listed as mixed grocery bags, one is $7.99 with a $24 value and the other is $11.99 for a large bag that says to have $36 of items in it! I’m definitely going to get one after vacation. Yum!

THAT FIG LOAF!!! :yum:

I may be weird but since I can’t play this TGTG game myself (it’s not here) I am getting lots of enjoyment seeing your buys!

I love this! My kid and I are traveling for college auditions over the next month and will be both in Chicago and Boston, we are definitely keeping this on our radar. Seems like an inexpensive touristy thing to do to try a local bakery or market!

We are in the Minneapolis area and don’t have any here - disappointing! Get on it twin cities. Love seeing everyone’s treasures too!

The Pie Hole in PB is offering a $45 value bag for $15. I suspect it’s a special order that was cancelled. They sell too many items that I wouldn’t eat so will pass.

I’m not going to get anything today. There is a Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf one for $4.99, but the pickup is from 5-6 pm and I will already be home from my office by then. I’ll see if I can get anything tomorrow near my house since I will be WFH.

There’s one 1/2 mile away, a restaurant in town I’ve never tried, $4.99 but pick up is between 7 and 7:30 pm. We will have an early dinner because my son has class at 7. Tempting though!

Worked out great, my son’s gym is across the street and he finished his workout in the pickup window (still only a 1/2 mile away but who wants to go out). A patty melt, fries, 2 chicken empanadas 1 steak, a soda, $4.99, my 20 year old son thought it was a great value (ate 2 empanadas cold). My dinner tonight was a Costco salmon fillet, broccoli and good bakery bread, my 24 son came for dinner so there were 5, even with the extra there wasn’t much left.

I just purchase a second Eataly bag to be picked up later today. The empanadas were good last night; we each had one for dinner with soup & salad, and H ate the remaining two for breakfast. So far, we are very happy with this ‘find’. Thank you!

PS - I am paying it forward and recommending to friends and family around the world!

Love this idea. Good deals, and it helps keep food out of the landfill.

One summer during college I worked at Dunkin’ donuts. To ensure fresh donuts, they used to give away the excess at the end of the day to some kind of non-profit agency. Alas, some of the recipients tried to return them the next day complaining about having “bought” stale product. After that, the manager switched to having us discard all in the dumpster… so wasteful.

Panera used to have a system where non profits could get on a list to be called at the end of the day to pick up remaining bagels, bread, baked goods. At the time my mom worked at her local YMCA and they very often were recipients- they got so much stuff that staff could take some and my mom always had a freezer full of stuff!
