Too Good To Go…..who has tried it?

Todays take from my local market. The pita and the molasses cookies will go this afternoon to D. Will def keep the Camembert and jalapeños.

ETA: I bought a dozen eggs while I was at that store for $4.99. I then dropped the bag on the way home and 6 were broken. Ugh

Such an interesting variety!!!

How long as TGTG been active in cities? I wonder if places like @Marilyn 's San Diego will gradually get more places on board.

Nice! A toasted pita with cheese. Yum.

Bummer about the eggs. :frowning: Can you make scrambled eggs out of the broken ones? That will kill any bacteria that might have gotten in from contact with the shells/package. I would!

Steamed eggs or a steamed omelet is another way to use cracked eggs while killing any bacteria. It’s a very light and easy dish.

We decided to try this, thanks to this thread :). Not too many places close to us and hardly any availability. I was awake most of the night Monday night (insomnia) and found a deal at an Indian bakery kind of place.

We went last night to pick up the parcel. One dish - a rice dish is what we got. Tastes good, but given that both H and I have cut back on eating rice, not quite sure what we are going to do with this

I suspect there will be a lot of carb-heavy stuff in these packs because carbs do well past their “sell by” date. Easy to avoid issues with food poisoning…

Unfortunately, no saving them. They weren’t just cracked, they were broken. I was getting my gloves out of my bag when I dropped it. What was I thinking not having them on before I left the store, it’s only in the 20’s here.

In my area looks like just two participants. One is Coffee Bean and the other a local coffee place. I’m sure it’s all carbs and mainly sweet so I’ll pass for now.

Me, too! I feel like I’m a work. Due to multiple food allergies, I can never partake in food that is brought in, yet I get so excited about it. My co-workers think I’m crazy.

Yum, having this for dinner

So I got back from vacation, which meant no more diet. Ordered a bag from my go to local small market.

So I get TWO 5” pies. One is Vegan mixed berry, the other is Classic Apple. Both retail for $11.99 each, so $24 of pie for $4.99. I’m not much of a sweets person, but I have no problem having some of both for dinner tonight. I had a colonoscopy at 7:30 this morning and will eat anything at this point!

Jealous! Of the pie, not the colonoscopy! (hope the results of both are good though!)

I’m not a sweets person, but I appreciate a good pie :pie:!

I just had the Vegan mixed berry pie for dinner. Yes, the entire 5” pie and it was delicious! For those of you in Boston, it is from a bakery, Petsi pies. Their main location is in Somerville but sell at 8 different locations in the area. They have savory pies as well as the sweet. I’m not normally that person who gushes over something, much alone a pie, but I give it an A+

Drat. I just looked up my city in the app and “there are no stores in the area yet”!

Just ate the entire apple pie for my dinner. Yum. No guilt.
