I would really reallyreally love for the chance to talk with a Yale Alumnus but unfortunately still have not been contacted for one. So, I was just wondering, does anyone here know if its still possible for an applicant to get offered an interview? or is it too late? whats the cutoff date?

Hi there!
Unfortunately, I think it's too late for an official interview with an alum. My interviewer told me that her report had to be filed over in New Haven by Feb. 15.
Regardless, you could definitely call up the admissions office and ask if there are any current students that might be able to connect with you and answer your questions. I think you can also look up your regional rep online.

Mine was past the deadline for EA I think. Don't give up hope yet. And even if you don't get one, it's okay - it won't be held against you! Interviews aren't super-significant overall anyway, so don't sweat it.

no it's definitely not too late. i had my interview for RD last year in late march. and it may have been a tipping point because the person who read my app said he remembered in particular my interview report.

@muscialgal3: i did try looking up the regional rep for my area, but its so hard. I live in SoCal and the only person i seemed to find was some man named Don Nakanishi (hope i got that right >.<) I emailed him but I think he just forwarded to the main office because I ended up just getting some auto response, telling me about how interviews work and some FAQs and whatnot. :/

Do you know of a way I can better search for my rep, or did I have the right guy anyway?

Reports were due yesterday. There's some wiggle room... but most likely what happened...

You live in an area where there aren't many alumni or there were so many applicants- they didn't get to you.

No worries, it won't negatively affect you. But you might just have to suck it up and accept you got unlucky... it might be annoying to keep contacting your regional rep when they can only give you the automated answer.

Perhaps you should contact your local ASC (is that the right acronym lol?) and ask from there.. no idea how to find him/her.
