Too late for more applications?

Most colleges for regular decision deadlines are coming up this January! Ahck.

Is it too late to apply to more colleges though? Transcripts and SAT scores won't get to the colleges in time, so... is it all over now?

...Or do SAT scores and transcripts just have to be postmarked before the deadline?

Rush your SAT/ACT scores.

Postmark the application by the deadline.

You'll be fine.

Actually, the deadline I was looking at was January 16th. I already paid the $9.50 to send the SAT today, do it's not really the SAT that I'm worrying about. A month should be enough for the SAT score to be received I believe.

I was worrying more about my transcript since my school won't start sending transcripts out until January 2007. I'm really just hoping that the transcript just needs to be postmarked by the 16th and it will be good.

Also, I heard that deadlines were pretty flexible anyway. I just don't want to start applying to more colleges and for my efforts to be wasted.

As long as all of your parts of the application are done, you'll be fine. Colleges will understand if your transcript and test scores come late.

FYI, though...Knox's deadline is February 1st, and Illinois Wesleyan, a highly underrated school, has rolling admissions. Earlham's deadline is March 1st! a lot of good schools have february (or later) deadlines, you'll find more. You could also look at Ohio Wesleyan, Wittenberg, and Augustana...sorry, I only really know about the ones I'm applying to :(

Thanks! Very relieving to know!
