Hello. I would really appreciate it if someone in a similar situation to myself would comment.
I am currently a Senior, and I have yet to apply to all of my colleges. I would be done now, were it not for the essays and supplements that these colleges require. I have written numerous essays in an attempt to create a decent common app essay, however they either turn out too boring/bland or they sound like something out of a silly novel (when I try to be creative). Can anyone please give me a suggestion as to how I should approach the essay?

Also, for colleges using the commonapp, is a personal statement required for application the same as the commonapp essay? I am looking to apply to Bryn Mawr (my number one) and on their website it lists a personal statement requirement along with the commonapp. Does this mean a whole other essay for me to write? I really appreciate any feedback.

Furthermore, if I am applying to schools with 50 percent acceptance rate, and I am a top student in my school (4.0 GPA W, 2010 SATs, 7 total AP classes with good grades thus far, and one or two extracurriculars), does this necessarily mean I have a good chance of acceptance, or should I count on lower-ranking schools than Bryn Mawr, Franklin & Marshall, etc.

Thank you, and any help whatsoever would be tremendously appreciated! :)
