Is it too late to email an admissions officer? I just looked at the Common Data Sets for a few of my schools and saw that some of them (ones I didn’t expect) “consider” demonstrated interest. Can I still email someone from admissions, or have decisions been made already? And what would be good stuff to ask about?
Also, is it too late to sign up for a campus tour to demonstrate interest?
It’s not too late if you’re planning on applying to colleges for the 2018-19 season +
@TheTennisNinja I’m a senior now and I’m applying for admission for this coming fall…
yeah probably too late for that… does the school you’re applying to take into account demonstrated interest? I know many don’t. I would just wait out the next few weeks and hope for the best.
Some schools check how often applicants log into their portal, so start doing that daily maybe. If you aren’t on the school mailing list, add yourself at their admissions page. If you have any accomplishments since applying, email a note about them to the school’s main admissions email, and reiterate your interest (say that you can’t wait to hear back from them or something like that).
I don’t think it’s too late. I would send a letter (email) to your admissions counselor about any new accomplishments or updates to application and reiterate your commitment to their program. ← This is what I did a few days ago, and they replied that they added the info. to my application. Good Luck!
It depends on which school and when is the result date. It would not hurt to send a LoCI as long as the adcom is not feeling annoyed. It may not help much if any either.
