Too late to get an interview?

Hey everyone,

I am a sophomore at the University of Pittsburgh (maj: acct./finance, minor: econ). I have a strong interest in the investment banking industry but realize that due to a number of factors (school and year in school especially) I likely would not attain any positions, nor even get an interview. I have a strong GPA however, (3.85), relatively good knowledge of the ibanking industry, and as indicated, a willingness to learn about ibanking, the capital markets, etc. I applied through corporate websites at roughly 50 ibanking firms, simply attempting to acquire ANY internship possible, and received no response. Therefore, I am going to look at private equity firms/venture capitalist firms for possible internships. Is it too late for me to realistically acquire an interview? Also, does anyone know any sort of database that lists firms of this nature? Thank you
