I am taking the AMC this year sometime around February 7th-10th, and I was wondering if it would be too late to send my scores to most schools. I barely missed the cutoff for AIME last year, so I think I could get it

Oh why do you have to remind me; I took the AIME twice and forgot to put it on my app; i'll stop reading this board

If you do REALLY well on it and make aime and go past...then you can send it in later.

Does 120 constitute as "REALLY" good?

120 (AMC 12) is a really good score. It's harder to get high scores on the AMC because they changed the score criteria (starting from last year).

iknow it suckeeddd :| and it's gonna change further. NO CALCULATORS!
dude 120 is amazing...for AMC12......but 120 is just passing for AMC10 :]

depends what school. some schools don't even thinkk that passing AMCs are that interesting anyways
are u applying to hyp? lol MIT likes them tho

Yes, calculators are banned, but you'll probably notice a change in the question style from previous exams. This may make it harder, or it may make it easier. The change in question style was actually the reason for banning calculators in the first place; calculators render trivial a wide variety of problems that are quite interesting to do by hand, and the writers wanted to include such questions.

wow that will suckk...don't know how to do some of those problems that are so frikkin easy with the calc but horrible with hand

but hopefullly the numbers will be NICER!
