too late to send a letter?

hey everyone,

i was deferred and i just sent a letter, reiterating my love for yale and updating them about the new internships i'm doing, two days ago via fax. do you think that's too late?

It can't hurt.

I sent mine in through mail. That should be fine right?

Should I check up with my regional rep to make sure they've received it?

faxing it was a good idea! word on the street (well, CC) is that they don't start reviewing deferrees till late march anyway, so ostensibly it wouldn't matter when you sent it (this goes for akiiriah too)...right? i'm thinking about sending one too...pretty much this weekend or bust.

haha not late march. mid-march. yeah they only start reviewing us after they've sent out decisions lol...

thanks for the feedback, guys.
where did you hear that they don't start reviewing us until mid-march?

akiiriah, are you going to email your regional officer or call her? i hear the admissions office can be pretty terse on the phone.

Probably email her. Should I email her with my Yale love letter and replacement essay attached? =S

why do they only review us in march??? like, how many spots will be left by then.... I never knew...

My understanding is that committee started meeting last week.

Akiiriah, I faxed my yale love letter. I think that'll guarantee that they get it. It said on the yale website, on the staff directory page, that admissions officers sometimes don't get back to you for a week. So for the more urgent stuff (i.e. the love letter and essay), you should fax it. And then send your admissions officer an email making sure she got everything.

AdmissionsAddict.

Is that the committee for transfers that started meeting last week or for freshman?

I don't know for certain, but I can't imagine that they'd start meeting for transfers before the application due date.
