I have yet to send a letter of continued interest and was wondering if I should still send one anyway? From what I understand the first round of letters is coming out Feb. 1st, so it might not even be worth it. Also, since I have no new info/awards to add in the letter, how pertinent is it that I send one? Will it set me apart in any way from people who don’t send one? Thanks!
Probably not but honestly… Who knows. Thousands of students will send one in and thousands of students won’t. I have never seen a statistic showing that one group had an advantage over the other. I do think it looks better when sent earlier and not as a last minute decision. I think you just need to trust your gut.
Usually if you don’t have any new information to add they usually say don’t send one on the deferral letter.
