Too late to send LOCI

Hi guys,

I was deferred early action. Unfortunately, I have been so busy as of late that the LOCI slipped my mind. I just reread the deferral letter Princeton sent me, and they said that all supplemental materials should be sent by the end of January.

Well…as you know, it’s the first day of February. Do you think its too late to send it in? I’m worried that they might think I’m a slacker/procrastinator (which I am…). But if I don’t send one, will they think I’m disinterested? I’m sure many deferred applicants sent in LOCIs, so I feel like not doing one would put me at a disadvantage (from the already uber-low acceptance rate).

And is it even worth it to write one? I really haven’t done anything significant since I was deferred. I’ve been nominated as a US Presidential Scholar (which can just be seen from my SAT scores), worked as a poll worker on November 8th (although it was my first paid-working experience), and some AMC scores I forgot to report (above average in percentile but none qualify for AIME…I don’t have any other math awards though). I would basically be confirming that Princeton is still my top-choice, and if accepted, I would definitely attend.

Thank you in advance!

Not too late. A loci is not really supplemental material.

You’re fine — I would just send the LOCI now. Perhaps with the addition of being nominated as presidential scholar. The other updates won’t be relevant I think. I could’ve also just said this in the group chat, lol.

@HRSMom Thank you, I’ll send it right away then.

@VenomBuds LOL thnx for replying anyway. I’ll just put the presidential scholar update then.
